On Thursday, April 2022, 4, the Matsumoto City Museum of Art reopened after undergoing major renovations that lasted about a year.
The first exhibition to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the museum's opening and reopening is "Special Exhibition Commemorating the Enthronement of Emperor Shoji: Reviving the Shosoin Treasures - Reproductions and Replicas of the Tenpyo Period".
Also, the museum will feature the work of Yayoi Kusama (1929-), a world-renowned avant-garde artist from Matsumoto City.Special exhibition "Yayoi Kusama: The Place of the Soul"It will be held.
