A strange banquet: "Playful lacquerware"
"Yasha Pond"
This exhibition introduces the handiwork of Hikoju Makie, a group of lacquer artisans based in Wajima, which was hit by the double disaster of the earthquake and flood last year. They make use of the individuality and skills of each artisan, further developing and enhancing them as they complete the work. Their work was recognized this year, receiving the Mitsui Golden Takumi Award. Their works, which combine traditional techniques with playful imitation, support the recovery and bring smiles to people's faces.

Touring wells, springs, and waterways with Princess Mizumeguri ~Tasting water and soup stock edition~
Matsumoto is a town of spring water. Take a walk in May with a water theme in hand, bringing along a water spoon or an original mug.
This year's theme for Mizumekurihime is dashi soup stock. With guidance from Ueda Katsuobushi Shop, we will enjoy the difference in the taste of spring water in artist's ware.

Workshop "Colorful printing with lithography"
Use fluorescent colors, gold, and white.1You can print photos and collages using a Risograph printer, which layers colors one by one. You can exchange the completed prints and take home the work of others.

Workshop "Silkscreen plate making & printing"
You can easily experience silkscreen printing by combining different patterns.TPrinting is possible on fabric products such as shirts and tote bags.
You can also create and print your own original version (additional fee required).
You can print in a variety of colors, including colorful inks, white, bright fluorescent colors, and even glitter foil transfers using a hot binder!
*Please wear clothes that you don't mind getting dirty on the day.
