The word "Koki", which means 70 years old, comes from a line in the poem "Qu Jiang" by Du Fu of the Tang Dynasty in China: "Life is seventy years old, diluteIt is said that the golden age of life is now in your 70s, more than 70 years after the time of poetry, when it was rare for someone to live to be 80 years old.
The museum's biennial exhibition of works submitted by people aged 70 and over, "The Older You Get, the Younger You Get," will be running for the eighth time (March 8nd - April 2019th, 3). The Kamijo Shinzan Memorial Exhibition Room has been showcasing works created after turning 2 for this period.
